PILGRIM ART GLASS
 |
Produced in very limited editions, Pilgrim Cameo glass is created by casing one layer of hot, molten glass on top of another and then, when it cools, delicately hand carving down into the different colored layers. Pilgrim has succeeded in carving as many as 9 layers of glass. Each piece is signed by the artist, Kelsey Murphy, and carries the Pilgrim hallmark. |

Cranberry glass is produced using gold and lead oxide in the batch. Pilgrim Glass began producing cranberry glass in 1968. Pilgrim soon became known for the quality of its cranberry color and through the years, this glass has been a Pilgrim mainstay. Pilgrim is currently the largest producer of cranberry glass in the world. |

Crackle glass has an uneven surface resembling cracked ice that has partly remelted. It is made by dipping the molten glass item into cold water for just a moment, and then reheating and blowing it to widen the cracks. |
 |
Pilgrim also carves pieces with a layer of crystal over colored glass. Carving the surface of the glass deeply enough to form a bas relief. These carvings are created entirely by hand. |
